History
St. David’s Episcopal Church was founded in 1953 at 63rd and Judson Street. The congregation outgrew that facility and moved to an existing building in our current location at 8800 Holdrege in 1992. After extensive remodeling of the facility, the church suffered a severe fire on Easter Sunday in 1999. The present facility literally “rose from the ashes,” as the congregation chose to remain and rebuild. In 2001, we celebrated the opening of our present church facility. In 2008 we completed an expansion and remodeling of our worship space, additional classrooms, and an expanded nursery area for infants and toddlers. Our church is currently one of more than 7,500 parishes of The Episcopal Church, USA.
